Nipple discharge
What do its color and one- or two-sided occurrence indicate?

Nipple discharge is most often caused by benign conditions; it can rarely be a sign of breast cancer.
Suspicious discharge usually comes on its own, from one breast and one duct, and can be bloody or clear. Physiological discharge usually appears on squeezing, from both breasts and several ducts.
Examination and radiological tests are recommended for every woman with nipple discharge.
