Benign breast diseases
Cysts, nipple discharge, breast pain, papillomas and infections.

Benign diseases of the breast are more common than breast cancer. Fibroadenoma, breast cysts, intraductal papilloma, phyllodes tumor, idiopathic granulomatous mastitis, breast infections, nipple discharge and breast pain belong to this group.
Some signs and findings of benign diseases and breast cancer overlap, so care is needed in differential diagnosis. Every breast lump should be evaluated by examination, ultrasound and, if necessary, biopsy.
